Jamestown came to the new world to find more natural resources. There colonys were set up by building houses and buit a fort around it. And their interactions with the natives was not very good.

And Plymouth came to the new world practice their own religion. And their colony was set up by trying farming, but the farmland around their settelment was poor. And they traded corn for the beaver furs with the natives. They were not very wealthy but they had a strong community. There interactions with the natives was good because they traded with them.

The people that came to Jamestown came because most of them were adventures interested in making their fortune and returning to England. They set up their settlement by making a triangular wall and they put their weapons in it too. They did not get along with the natives because they wanted to plant tobacco on the Natives lands. The people came to Plymouth so that they could practice their own religion. They go along with the Natives (Indians) pretty well. The Pilgrims invited the Natives to celebrate their harvest. They set up their settlement and when they were setting up their settlement nearly half the tired Pilgrims died from the cold and sickness during winter.

Jamestown and Plymouth were alike in some ways and different in some ways. They were alike because both colonies came to the new world to get money. Also, they both traded with the natives. Jamestown was different from Plymouth because they came to the new world to escape poverty and to gain more land. Plymouth came to the new world to have religous freedom. When Jamestown set up their colony they mostly had men, in Plymouth it was common to have women and children there. These are ways Plymouth and Jamestown were alike and different.

Both: Both Jamestown and Plymouth were colonies and survived.

Jamestown: The men in Jamestown were killed by Indians, lack of water, and other things. The colony was a failing one and looked like it wouldn't survive, but it did once women came to the colony.

Plymouth: The colony found few Inidans because most died from dieases brought from the English. They found many deserted Indian villages and lived in them using there empty fields to plant crops. The colony was a success.

Jamestown colony was started as a way to raise money, and a way to increase England's land. This colony was set up as a fort on the banks of the James river. At first only men were living in the colony and they would do nothing but raise their cash crops. When women finaly came over the colony did much better and less people died. The Cononists interactions weren't the best with the natives. Some days they were friends and traded well other days the were cruel to the natives and stole food from them. This caused many problems for them.

Plymouth colony came to the new world for religous freedom and to escape the poverty in england. Plymouth colony was set up in the style of a village similar to that of the natives. Women in the colony cooked and looked after the house whereas men in the colony would raise the crop and look after other things in the village. This colonys interactions with the natives were much better. They got along very well with the natives and traded and lived peacefuly together.

Jamestown was a colony that was succesful, the reason they were succesful was because the indians traded with them and helped them. But sometimes they didnt get along with the indians cause when the english were looking for gold the indians would shoot at them with arrows. The colony was set up so that all the indentured slaves had to do all of the work and the other men did nothing. The colony was set up by the james river.

Jamestown and Plymouth were very different. The Jamestown Colony was set up in order to make money and find gold. The Plymouth colony was formed by the Pilgrams to avoid persecution in England. Jamestown started with an okay relationship with the natives but it ended. Plymouth had a good healthy relationship with the natives. Jamestown was a wooden fort. Men tried to find gold and plant in the fields women took care of the men and made food. Plymouth had small settlements. In Plymouth men and women both had rights and had different chores men did heavy labor women took care of house. Jamestown was under the rule of England. Plymouth made a self government and was ruled in the "New World". Jamestown was in Virgina. Plymouth was in Massachusetts.

They set up their conlony by the james river and built a triangular fort around their houses. ( around the east coast)

Plymouth came to the new world to get more religous freedom and to establish there own laws.. The indians treated them very well and taught them how to to survive and live in the new world. They set up their colony round the east coast or Plymouth rock and started to farm and grow crops but their growing land was very poor. Also they traded with the indians and created a contract.

Both: Both Jamestown and Plymoth set up a colony in the eastern coast of America for weatlh, more land, and resources. They both struggled, but they both succeded.

Jamestown: When England sent over settlers to America, they settled in the Virginia area. In their colony, men had rights while the women just cooked and cleaned. The colonists sometimes got along with the indians, but mostly faught with them. Jamestown's colony was set up in a wooden fort

Plymouth: Colonists were aiming to settle in the Virginia, but landed much north. Their were much more women and children in this colony than in Jamestown and they had more rights. Plymouth colonists interacted with the indians very well and set up a plentiful trade. Their colonies were set up in cottages.

The people of Jamestown came to the new world searching for gold (have more money). They set their colony up by the James River and got along pretty well with the natives. They traded with them for corn. They had a lot of land for farming so that gives you how their colony was set up.

The people of Plymouth came to the new world to practise their religion freely. The colony was set up by majority rule of the townsmen. The natives and plymouth colonists got a long the same amount with the Jamestown colonists. They just wanted to trade but sometimes there was conflict.

The way that Jamestown and Plymouth are alike are that they were both looking for new land and riches. Both colonies had astruggle with health and many people got ill and/or died. In Plymouth, the colonies were set up as villages with wooden houses and leaders and servants and in Jamestown, most of everyone had to work equally. The colonists from Plymouth went along with the natives very well and the natives traded with them and also taught them many things such as growing crops. The colonists from Jamestown did not get along with their natives very well and the colonists often shot at them with their guns and they even built up a big wall around their territory to be separated.

The colonies of Jamestown are similar and differnet in many ways.
Jamestown: The Jamestown colony came to the new world for new land for their country and money. When the colonie had gotten to Jamestown they immediatley started searching for gold wasting all of their energy to pay back the london company for paying for every Jamestown person to arrive to Jamestown. Soon, the women arrived and Jamestown was back into order and the colony was formed. The interactions with the Native Americans and the Jamestown people were that they got along on some days and on other days they did not get along so well, the Jamestown people stole food t some times from the powatahn people and som times they traded without gtting into fights.
Plymoth: They came to the new world to establish colonies and spread their religion, and practices. The way they set up their colony was by struggling to farm on their poor farming land and fishing and hunting conditions were not god in the area they had settled on either. The way the Native Americans and Pilgrims got along was by sharing their ways of their people and by sharing ideas of how to survive. The natives were kind to the pilgrims and got along so well that they had a feast three days long which is commonly called 'Thanks-Giving' The conditions in the plymoth colony soon improved because of their relationship with the indians.
The Similarities between colonies:
The similarities were they both came to the new world for some kind of freedom, they both came to the neew world and prospered into a good colony, and they both ebentually got along with the natives and depended of the natives resources and what they knew about the land.

Plymouth came for a new world to start and just wanted more room to plant crops. Instead they got Indians who wanted to kill them because they were in the Indians land.

Their colonies were setup to have a big field to plant crops in and one room cabins to share with up to 10 other people.

The interactions with the Jamestown towards the natives were at first they fought a lot. But they soon realized they need each other to survive. In the end the natives brought them food and taught them how to plant corn. The Plymouth pilgrims and the natives fought back and forth a lot. Even though they did steal some of each other’s ideas.

Both colonies came to the new world and both succeeded in creating a sucsessful colony

Jamestown came for gold and brought diseases. The indians didnt like that so the attacked and battled.

Plymouth went for religion and didnt really bring any diseases. The indians were nice and didn't attack.

Both were successful and saw natives.

Jamestown came for more resources, killed natives, did not shared food with natives, natives did not teach Jamestown colonist how to plant, traded with natives, and were not into religious practices.

Plymouth was nice to natives, shared food, natives thought Plymouth colonist how to plant, traded with natives, and were religious.

The differences between Jamestown and PLymouth are that Jamestown didn't get along with the natives while the settlment at Plymouth did. Another difference is that colonist from Jamestown came for riches, while the pilgrims came for new land and relegious reasons. Also in Plymouth children and women were thought to some good to the settlement, while in Jamestown they were not. They Jamestown colony was set up with their weapons bared, but the Plymount colony was not.
They were similar because but wanted; land, money, and other resources that were not available at their original country. They also had pther reasons that brought them to the new world.

Plymouth and Jamestown were alike and different in many ways. They are alike because they both are located on the east coast of the United States. Both of these places were also used to set up a colony or a new home for the settlers that came there.

Jamestown came to the new world for mostly money and riches and to get new land for farming and to spread their country. Their relationship with the natives was not good, they started war between them.

Plymouth came to the new world mostly for religious freedom, but they also came to govern a colony and make social rules and establish laws. Their relationship with the natives was good they got along and traded with the natives.

Jamestown:
Jamestown came to the new world to make England richer buying searching for gold and growing crops. The colony was set up in a marshy area, and their interactions with the natives depended on the day.

Plymouth:
Plymouth came to the new world for religious freedom. The Plymouth colony got along very well with the natives.

Jamestown and Plymouth are different and similar in many ways. Jamestown and the Indians did not react very well to each other most of the time. They did not trade with each other. Jamestown was mostly for money (gold) and to expand the empire. The colonists from Jamestown got some diseases but Plymouth got a lot of diseases that left a lot of people dead. Plymouth came to the new world for religious purposes. The Indians were nicer to them. The Indians traded with the colonists from Plymouth.

Jamestown: This Colony was mainly made for collecting gold, and making a huge profit. The first thing they did was go looking for gold hardly unpacking there bags, and they had nearly failed. They made a fort in the shape of a triangle with cannon at each point. These people went to war with the natives
Plymouth: This Colony had come to make a profit but then also to have religious freedom. They treated the Natives as friendsand they did many things together.

Jamestown and plymoth both came to the new world for money and resources. Jamestown came to have more space to grow tobacco. They didn't get along with their natives simply because Jamestown wanted the native's land to grow more tobacco on their land but they didnt agree with this, so they fought about it. Plymouth came to the new world mostly for freedom they wanted to make the own laws and have their own right of religion. They did not get along with their natives at all they killed them all.

Jamestown offered a good defensive position. Warm climate and fertile soil allowed large plantations to prosper. They got along well some of the days but soem of the days they didnt get a long well. They started diseases, and came for money.
Plymouth provided an excellent harbor. Cold climate and thin, rocky soil limited farm size. New Englanders turned to lumbering, shipbuilding, fishing and trade.Came for religion, They wanted to spred the religion.
They came for different reasons, But they had to do a lot of the same things such as work for food and do trading so they would have supplies to eat and everything else needed.

The reasons jamestown came to america is because they wanted more land to grow crops. They wanted more money. They got along everyone once in a while or they would question eachothers ideas.

The reasons plymouth came to america was to spread there relgion and to worship how they please. They always were on each other case killing or injuring others.
