A direct democracy is when the people as a whole make a decisions.
A representative Democracy is when the citizens vote for the official they want to be in charge.
We use representative Democracy verse Direct Democracy because our population is too big to use Direct Democracy.

Direct Democracy- it is where every person votes for every issue.
Representative- is where you vote for a rep. who will vote for some of the issues for you.
U.S. choosen represanttitave over direct because there are to many people in the U.S. to vote on every issue so we just vote for leaders who do it for us

Direct Democracy: Its a type of govenment where everyone votes on every issue. Theres a constitution but theres no representatives.
Representative Democracy: Its a type of government where the people vote for representatives to vote for them. Theres a constitution and theres representatives.
The United States uses the representative democracy because it would be hard to make everyone vote on every issue so they let the people vote for reps to vote for them. It gives more power to the people.

A Representative Democracy is where the people can vote freely and decide who they want to repersent them. A Direct Democracy is where the people make there own choices. The U.S. uses Repersentative democracy instead of Direct because a lot of people will disagree against something and it could start a large conflict.

A direct democracy is a democracy where everyone votes on everything. A representative democracy is where we vote for the people we want to represent us in making decisions.
We have a representative democracy because our population is really big so voting for the people we want to represent us is a more affective way to vote. We don't have a direct democracy because it would take too long and be too complicated for everyone to vote on everything.

A Direct Democracy is a form of government in which the citizens of the country would vote directly for someone to hold office. An example of this would be if every citizen of the United States voted on every government issue. This idea is simply unrealistic for a country as large as the United States which is why we use the form of government called Representative Democracy. In a Representative Democracy the citizens of the country vote for a smaller group of citizens to represent them in voting on government issues. This form of government is much more practical for a large country like the united states because while the people are still allowed the right to vote, they instead vote for those who they think will well represent then. It then becomes much simpler when only a select few have to vote on all government issues.

A Direct Democracy is a democracy where all citizens over 18 vote on everything. A Representative Democracy is a democracy were the citizens vote for somone to represent there opinions when voting. The United States has a Representative Democracy because we have a large poulation. It's easier because then everyone doesn't have to vote on everything. We don't have a direct democracy because it would take way too long and would be to hard for everyong to vote on everything.

A direct democracy is when the citzens vote on everything and representitive is where we vote for someone to represent us. We use representitve democracy because it is more organized and better than Direct Democracy because it is less organized.

A Direct Democracy is when all the people make the decisions. And a represenatative democracy is when the people vote on officials to make the decisions for us. I think the U.S. is a represenative democracy because there are to many people in the U.S. to vote on every issue and it is so much easier and quicker to vote on officials to make those desicions for us.

A Representative Democracy- is a democracy that has people running for a title and the people vote and there votes go through goverment officials and they come to a conclusion based on the peoples votes. A Direct Democracy-is a democracy that the people in person go to discuss things like new laws to the goverment. The United States has a representative democracy because the goverment didn't want a bunch of people coming up in bunches to discuss about laws they thought it would be a hassle if everybody came up at the same time eveytime there was a new law.

A representative democracy is where the citizens vote to elect a representative to decide on the issues for them.
The United Stats uses a representative democracy because there are too many people in the United States to use a direct democracy. So we vote for people to vote for us to make the our government run smoother.

A direct democracy is a democracy when everybody votes for every issue. A representative democracy is what the U.S has. It is when the citizens vote on important issues and elect the people they want to be in charge. United States uses a representative democracy instead of a direct democracy because the population is too big for everyone to vote on every issue.

Representative Democracy-A government in which the people vote for a representative to make decisions for us

The reason we have a representative democracy instead of a direct democracy is because the population of the U.S.A is to big for a direct democracy.

A direct democracy is when the people vote on every issue the country has. A representative democracy is when the people vote for a representatieve to vote on issues for them, so they dont have to vote on every issue. We use a representative democracy because there are too many people in our country to use the direct, because voting on issues would take too long.

A direct democracy is where everyone votes on everything a representitive democracy is where people are elected to represent the people. the reason why america is a representitve democracy is because there are too manny people that we would vote all the time and have no jobs or money to support the country

A directemocracy is a form of government in which people make decisions on there own. A representitive democracy is a form of government in which there is the senate and house of representitives for votes on the minor things.

We use a representitive democracy because our country is too large to be voting on every little thng. We need a senate and house of representitives to vote on those issues.

Rebekah Finn Core C: A direct democracy is when all of the citezens vote on every single issue. While a representative democracy is when the citezens vote for a representative to establish and vote for what they want on the issues. The United States are a representative democracy because we have very many people in our country; so it would take forever to get all of the citezens to vote on every issue. If we have represenatives they will vote for their state so everyone doesn't have to vote. It will take less time.

A representative democracy is when citizens delegate authority to elected representatives.
A direct democrarcy is when people as a whole make decisions, rather than decisions made by elected representatives.
The goverment uses representative democracy because everyone in the United States couldn't vote on every issue because there is so many people so we just vote for leaders such as presidents who do it for us.

A Direct Democracy is a Democracy in which all citezens of the country vote for every governmental issue.

A Represenative Democracy is a Democracy in which the Citezens of the country elect representatives to vote for issues.

The United States uses this Democracy because of the mass amounts of people in the contry. If there was a Direct Democracy there is no way anything would get done fast because the entire country would have to vote. Direct Democracys are better for smaller countries.

Direct Democracy: A direct democracy is when eveyone votes on all the issues.
Representative Democracy: A representative democracy is when we the people vote for people that we trust to make the decisions on every issues. We can not have a Direct Democracy because there are so many people in the USA that it woud take forever for people to vote and it would cost way to much. Also, there will be so much voting that would have to be done that some people would get tired of voting and would just stop. It would be almost impossible to have a driect democracy so we have a representative democracy.

a direct democracy is when every body votes on every issue
a representitive democracy is when the people vote for someone to represent them and make descision for them.
we use a representitive because it would be too hard to count all the votes on a direct democracy

A direct democracy is a form of government when the people as one make decisions and vote directly.

A representative democracy is when the citizens vote for and elect someone to represent them.

The U.S. uses a representative democracy rather than a direct democracy because this way, we don't have to have all eligible voters in one small area out of the whole nation (too large of a population). So, this way representative would be much better and easier to elect local representatives.
