No. Pythagoras guessed that the Earth was round in the 6th century B.C. Aristotle backed him up when he discovered that the Earth’s shadow could be seen in Lunar Eclipse sliding past the moon and it was round.

A Greek mathematician named Pythagoras suspected that we were living on a sphere in the 6th century of B.C. Then 2 centuries later, Aristotle backed Pythagoras up with his theory.
