a dirct democracy is all the pouplation to vote and the representative is when you have the house of representative's and the sente's and you add the people together. and we use representaive insstead of direct because direct would take a longer time because over 255 million people and representative would only take a little less time because they only have 535 people and voteing.

A direct democracy is when everyone has a say in everything.

A representative democracy is when we have someone to represnt us and they make the decisions.

We have a representative democracy because if every single person had to vote for every issue it would take way to long. Its easier to have a smaller group decide.

Define Direct Democracy and Representative Democracy. Explain why the United States uses a Representative Democracy rather than a Direct Democracy.

Representative is where the citizens elect people to represent the citizes.

Direct Democracy is where the people vote and make the dicisons.

The United States has a Representative Democracy and not a Direct democracy because if it had a direct democracy it would take long time because we have a lot of people in the United States and it would take less time to have 535 people do it then over 100 million.

Define Direct Democracy and Representative Democracy. Explain why the United States uses a Representative Democracy rather than a Direct Democracy.

A Direct Democracy is when every citizen has to vote on issues. A Representative Democracy is when citizens vote for leaders to represent them in elections for issues. The US uses a Representative Democracy because a Direct Democracy would take forever for everybody in the US to vote on every issue that comes up. The US uses a Representative Democracy becauses everybody does not have to vote and it is much faster to pass or fail a issue.

A direct demorcracy is where everyone in the country vote's for every discion the presdent or governmet would want to do. Everyone would have to vote all the time. And a Representive democracy (what our country has) only 535 people represent for our country, i got that number by combinding the house of representitive's (435) & senate(100). If our country had a direct democracy instead of representitive democracy it would take a long time for the final vote, it's just and easier way.

A Representative Democracy is aform of government founded on the principle of elected individuals representing the people, as opposed to autocracy and direct democracy.

Becuase a Representative Democracy takes less time cause we only have 535 people. And Direct has like 255 million people.

Direct democracy- a form of democracy where together the people make direct decisions, than have decisions made for them by elected representatives.

Representative democracy- The people elect who rules and makes decisions for them.

I think the United States uses a representative democrcy rather than a direct democracy because, the United States is so large that i think if everyone could make decisions for themselve that we would break down into peices we wouldnt manage. I think direct democracy is more for small areas not large areas.

A direct democracy is a fourm of government whare they don't have a preasedent and everyone votes for every thing. A represenitive democracy is the type of government we have.It is whare we have a preasdent and vote little.

The US uses a represenitive democracy because with a direct democracy it works better with a little group.

representive democecy is better because all the people are not voting on one thing. That would be to complecated so only 535 vote in representve democercy, because that 535 represents the people.

direct democracy is a form of democracy in which people as a whole make direct decisions. represenitive democracy is a government that is composedof representatives of the people. The United States uses a representative democracy instead of a direct democracy because there are too many people living in the united states that it would take years for decisions to be made

While using a direct democracy, every citizen votes in every election and for every law or bill. The U.S. doesn't use this type of government because the poputation is too big. In a rep. democracy, citizens vote for a representitive to vote for laws and bills, so the elections and voting is an easier process and doesnt take as long.

A direct democracy is when every citizen in the country votes on every issue or law that is created.
A representative democracy is when each seperate region, in the US's case, each state, elects officials to represent them and vote for the issues.

The reason the US has a representative democracy is because the US's population is too great to be able to have everyone vote, it would take too long, so with a representative democracy there is only the people in the Senate and the House of Representatives that needs to vote for those certain issues.

A representative democracy is a democracy when all of the citizens in a population vote fro representatives to vote for laws.
A direct democracy is when every citizen votes on every issue. The U.S. has a representative democracy because we have a really big population and it would be too hard for every citizen to vote on every issue. It would also take to much time to get things done.

the united states has a representative demcocracy because there is millions of people and they probably couldnt all agree on one thing so they vote for officials to make the decisions.

A direct democracy is when every citizen in the country votes on every issue or law trying to be passed.

A representitive democracy is when the people of every state elected only a few people from there state to vote on the issues and laws for them.

We have a representitive democracy because if every person in the united states had to vote on every issue it would take a long time. We only vote for big national things like electing a president, wich takes a long time.

A Represenative Democracy is a Democracy in which the Citezens of the country elect representatives to vote for issues.

The United States uses this Democracy because of the mass amounts of people in the contry. If there was a Direct Democracy there is no way anything would get done fast because the entire country would have to vote. Direct Democracys are better for smaller countries.

A Representative Democracy is a type of Democracy in which the citizens pass on the authority to elected representatives.
The United States uses a Representative Democracy rather then Direct Democracy because if we, the people, chose a Direct Democracy it would take much longer to have every U.S citizen vote on topics, so we elect individual representatives for each state. The United States would rather have Five-Hundred Thirty Five representatives than over millions of individual voters.
