1. Columbus was traveling for Asia. The purpose of his voyage was to find a west route to go to Asia to get the spices and silk.
2. Columbus did realize the Earth was round. There were other people who knew it was round.
3. No, he went to America instead but thought it was the Indies.
4. Terribly, he made them his slaves.
5. They're smart but not, he was rude to the locals (Indians).

1. Indies, the purpose of his voyage was to find a new way to get to the Indies for the spices and silks.
2. Yes he knew that the earth was round, The people in the past had Theories about the earth being round.
3. No he he landed on what today is North America.

1. Christopher Columbus was traveling to the Indies in search for silk and spices.the purpose of his voyage was to make money.

2. Yes he obviously had known that it was round because he traveled west to find the east.

3. No he did not reach his destination he landed on america.

5. I think Columbus is a very smart person because he was the first person to think that if his crew sailed west they would end up in the east.

1. He was sailing for Spain. The voyage was to find spices and other riches to sell or trade them for money.
2. Columbus did know that the world was round. Because, a greek mythologist named Pathagoras suspected the earth was round and two hundred years later Arosal backed his concusion up by seeing that the Moon and the other planets where round. He also noticed that the shadow of the Earth casted on the moon was round.

1. Columbus was on his voyage for Asia. The purpose of his voyage was to find a western route to Asia.
2.Columbus realized the Earth was round. He had to realize the Earth was round because he was taking a western route to Asia but if the earth was not round, he'd run off the face of the Earth so he had to realize that the Earth was in fact round.
3. No, he did not reacgh his destination. He landed on the America's and thought it was India.
4. He thought the people were Indians so he treated them as slaves. He was terrible to them.
5. We think Columbus was smart because he was the only one to think of traveling to Asia by water from Spain going West.

1)The country that Columbus was traveling was Spain and the purpose for this voage was not to prove the earth is round, but he left to trade spices for more money.
2)Columbus knew that the earth was round before the voage and that is why he decided to travel west so that he would reach Asia in less time than traveling east.
3)No he did not reach his destination, he ended up hitting the Americas.
4)Columbus treated the people that lived there like they were Indians. He did this because he thought that he had reached India.
5) Are opinion of Columbus and his men is that they are greety because they wanted to be wealthy and famous.

Columbus was traveling for the country of Spain and the purpose of his voyage was for spices and silks.
Yes columbus knew the earth was round he knew the earth was round even before he started to travel.

Columbus never did reach his destination because when he sailed to the west he reached the Americas instead of Asia because he didn't realize that there were other continents.
Columbus treated the people there badly he would make children the age of !4 and older work in mines and as slaves.
Our opinion of columbus and his men are that he was not good to other people from the Americas and he only sailed for money and trading purposes.

2.Columbus did know that the earth was round so he traveled west because it would be faster to do that than going around africa. Columbus didn't know that the earth was that big and there was moer land on earh.

Answer: Columbus was traveling for Spain. His pourpose was for fame and fortune and to find a west water route to Asia.

2. Did Columbus think that the world was round? Explain?

Answer: Columbus did think the earth was round because he did not need to figure it out, an earlyer scientist figured it out by studing the moon and other planets by seeing they were all round. He also thought that the world was smaller because they did not know that America existed.

3. Did he reach his destination? Where did he land?

Answer: No, Columbus did not reach his destination, but he thought he did. He really landed in the America's first he landed in the Bahamma's.

4. How did he treat the people that lived there? Explain?

Answer: He treated them terribly, it became a killing habitat. Every Indian 14 and older was forced to be a slave and work in the mines. They also got beated and taken from total freedom.

5 What is your opinon of Columbus and his men?

Answer: I think that Columbus and his men are cruel people. Who do they think they are taking away the land that that people lived in and that is rightfully there's. It's great that they found a new place, but you have to think if that was you who dedicated your whole life to trying to create a new place and haveing it all taken away from you and being slaves to a place you used to call a loveing and careing home.

Yes Columbus knew the earth was round or h never would of made the trip.No he did not make his destination, he landed in South America.He did not treat the people very well because he took what they had, and didn't respect them or their traditions. 5. I think that Columbus got to much credit for what he did. Everything he did was on accident, so he shouldnt be thanked for what he did.

5. They were horrible people who were driven by money and power to find the gold needed to make them rich.
